Questioning Leadership

Is it true that one is only as free as the questions that can be asked without fear of death, imprisonment and retribution?

I ask this, when behavioral science points to most species on earth having two genders, how can a college professor claim that there are an infinite number of gender types and then berate and subject a student of theirs, to mass humiliation just for disagreeing?  Perhaps the student isn't truly free?  Perhaps the professor is an oppressor for their own specific gender theories?  Perhaps college should be a place where open and honest expression of questions and opposing thoughts should be a protected free zone?  Where was the leadership training in this college, who has since, forced the professor to not attribute the humiliation post to the University.  Ducking for cover Administration?

Why do leaders in some communities still whine and complain about the challenges they have inherited, rather than engage their communities to improve, grow and succeed?  Is it because their re-election on blaming others rather than doing to real hard work of growing, is more profitable for them to maintain the strangle hold on power?
