When I look at all the competing inputs in the media about human behavior, I am deeply troubled. Why don't I see any behavioral scientists or behavioral health experts espousing their honest thoughts on how we behave as the species human?
Why are we subjected to media "talking heads" espousing their personal observations as to what some rioter or looter is doing?
Is it because as we are shocked and dismayed we will view more of this barely instructive video, so the media can sell more ad time to advertisers can sell more product?
Where is the courage of the media to see out true experts in behavioral science to discuss what transpires, before and after rioting and looting?
Where is the truth about the negative impact on communities when their children go about looting and destroying the property of business owners trying to improve the community?
Perhaps if we listened more to behavioral science experts we would not set up communities where poverty and ignorance hold down the neighborhoods into the same cycle of poverty and ignorance, when provide the anger that sparks rioting and looting?
Perhaps finding solutions to these challenges require media moguls and politicians to actually do the hard work of asking Scientists how to improve challenged communities?
What can we do to inspire challenged communities to rise up in a positive and constructive method to achieve prosperity in their communities?
How can we encourage local and National media to cover the resurrection and renaissance of these challenged communities?
How can these resurrections not lead to an inability for the local residents to live there after the re-birth of their communities? (Alleviating Gentrification?) Thus, after success, those wanting success can still reap the benefits of that success? What about a local universal income for the citizens living and contributing to the revitalization efforts? Taxes raised go back to the citizens not only in the form of police, fire, waste removal and infrastructure, but also in a local universal wage to help with rising prices of real estate.
